So if the reports of CDC refusing to test people for bird flu are true, docs should just be diagnosing it based on clinical history. Of course this will mean rates will go way up, because most people with vague viral symptoms and a good exposure history still don’t have fowl fever, but the point is, if we are left to clinical diagnosis, it will be the opposite of hiding the problem.
