@Snowshadow My mother was asking me if we (wife and I) still have any Easter traditions. I told her we only have one: Retelling the story about how we discovered, upon visiting her (my mother) at Easter, that she doesn't like ham.
See, apparently the reason my family often had ham on occasions was because my father likes ham, Mom doesn't. Mom still made it frequently, even when no one was visiting.
They've been divorced for thirty years. She's been making and eating a meal she dislikes for thirty years. We asked, she couldn' even name the reason. It had simply never realky occurred to her she didn't have to anymore.
And now our one Easter tradition is to retell that story to each other and chuckle.
