ive been wanting to make a garden map of my parents house/yard that shows where things are planted

if i was an illustrator, i could imagine making a cute fantasy-style map, but thats a little outside my zone

im thinking about something more measurement based, like an architectural plan, but im not sure how to make it. i dont really want to take a measuring tape out and measure everything

looking for ideas

i thought about taking photos from above with a drone, and then somehow making a line drawing map based on the photos, but i dont have a drone and am not entirely sure how this would work

i also thought about somehow taking a bunch of photos with my phone, and then finding some magical algorithm that would construct a map

i dont really need exact precision, but would like to somehow create a map in a somewhat objective-ish related to space way
