     1) clew pre-existed 4chan closing down by quite a bit
     
     2) The thing that made 4chan so toxic was the fact that people stopped interacting
     with it who weren't *those* people
     
     what you are doing with your fediblock is reinforcing their conspiracy
     
     and focusing their effort on those of us who remain able to communicate with them
     
     you are helping them win
     
     so by all means
     
     hide from them
     
     trump shows clearly that it won't matter - they'll come for you anyway, in meatspace
