I read through William Gibson’s short story collection “Burning Chrome” yesterday. I read neuromancer before but had already forgotten most of the plot. I really like his short stories a lot more, it seems that his ideas work much better in short form. Also, comparing it to most new authors, it’s impressive how well Gibson can write. Most of his sentences read beautifully. Recommended reading, check it out. - kaia and Fish of Rage like this.

Also it was just surprising how fully formed (or rather, stagnant) the cyberpunk style already was in stories like “Johnny mnemonic”. You could plop it in as aside mission in cyberpunk 2077 and you wouldn’t notice anything being off. -
