      like, really, half of the email providers want you to provide some form of identification, and the other ones that don't are targetted by law enforcement. absolutely fucking rigged.

      what's even worse is that most isps block the mail port so it's not super easy to host mail from home unless you pay a bit extra to your isp.

      @nyanide i'm no expert but as i understand it email spam attacks are still incredibly common and the reason law enforcement targets anonymous email providers is because they're hotbeds for that sort of thing

      @earthling spam is a valid reason i guess but having to pay extra for it makes the entire reasoning fall apart. spammers have plenty of money.

      also i think law enforcement probably goes after shit like cock.li for more than just spam

      @nyanide idk my experience is if someone provides an anonymous service for free it's pretty much guaranteed to be taken advantage of by criminals at some point imo
