Oppose Northwestern Energy's proposed rate increase.
The Montana Public Service Commission (PSC), the agency which regulated monopoly utilities, will hold a hearing starting April 22 to decide whether to approve NorthWestern's proposal to hike electricity rates by 26%.

NorthWestern wants customers to pay more than $2.3 billion to fund its methane gas plant near Laurel. The company is also pushing for a blank check to charge Montanans for future, undefined investments in the aging, unreliable Colstrip coal plant, which could saddle us with billions more in costs.

NorthWestern continues to ignore more affordable, cleaner alternatives like wind, solar, and energy storage, instead doubling down on expensive fossil fuels to boost their profits at our expense.
