Despite Spritely being founded upon technology I architected, since becoming Executive Director I almost never get to write code anymore. When I do get to write code these days it feels like it's the best thing in the universe

Being the head of the org is fulfilling insofar as I'm able to steer a ship where INCREDIBLE things are happening all the time
But on the other hand a lot of the time being an ED is a lot of boring administrative or strategic stuff that is incredibly hard to land, like you're a Roomba caught in the corner of the room bouncing from wall to wall
