In imperial core nations like America, where the labor aristocracy is numerous, there is very little revolutionary potential since, due to the bourgeois state's and the bourgeois class's immense wealth, can very easily buy off the working class, giving them incentive to not revolt against them. This level of bribery is less possible in third and second world nations since they aren't as wealthy. 1/2

class's immense wealth, can very easily buy off the working class [...] This level of bribery is less possible [elsewhere] since they aren't as wealthy
where inequality is higher, this sort of bribery is proportionally cheaper: even if nominally not as wealthy, labor is the baseline of value, and higher inequality makes the aristocracy actually richer, and thus, by your reasoning, the workers theoretically easier to bribe. I'm not sure that's correct reasoning, though. cultural background seems to be a lot more relevant than relative wealth in making oppressed people more vulnerable to bribery, or more willing to organize to resist oppression. the empire bombards its people with propaganda that "vaccinates" them against economic justice policies from an early age; that's hard for individuals to overcome.

Which makes me wonder if this fight is winnable at all. Maybe people really would rather die in an every-man-for-himself world than live in an equitable and caring one.

It's really disheartening that it seems to take a Masters-level humanities education to turn people socialist but only two youtube videos to turn them fascist.
