Yes, there are eight New Seven Wonders. Don't at me.
- Great Wall of China
- Petra
- Colosseum
- Chichén Itzá
- Machu Picchu
- Taj Mahal
- Christ the Redeemer
- Great Pyramids of Giza (honorary)

@shalien LOL; that one didn't get a lot of votes.
@evan You forget humanity desire to self destruction
@ubik I linked to the list of the New Seven Wonders of the World (TM). Read the article. Your items are not on the list.
@evan also Kek Lok Si and Batu Caves. La Sagrada Familia. the Empire State Building.
@ubik no, no, and no.
It would be more efficient if you were to read the Wikipedia article, or just take my word for it, rather than posting questions. I am pretty sure that most objects are not the New Seven Wonders of the World (TM).
@evan the Alhambra? The Eiffel Tower? Pompeii?
@ubik absolutely. I acknowledge your point that there are many more wonderful things in the world than are listed in the New Seven Wonders of the World (TM).
@evan I missed the original post with the poll. I blame the Mastodon interface.
These sites were chosen by a Swiss foundation through online polls in the early 2000s. They are one of many lists of seven (or more) wonders.
I agree that there are many wonderful things in the world -- maybe even more than eight. I am asking about sites from this list, not all wonderful things.
There is a Wikipedia article about the New Seven Wonders of the World (TM) and another about wonders lists in general:

@davidnjoku and then you did!
@evan I was this close to at-ing you! 😃
@GustavinoBevilacqua I don't understand your question.
A person living in Rome, on the other side of the road in front of the Colosseo, must be considered a "permanent tourist"?
