     @merlin@toot.kif.rocks if it reassures you, the environmental costs of AI inference are basically nothing, even though it's VASTLY exaggerated on social media
     
     also we already have infinite green energy tech, and basically every country in the world is on the way to phasing out fossil electricity (which often costs more than clean energy, so datacenters have an incentive to run on clean energy)
