   For decades, Democrats have been smearing and spitting on anyone who works within the Republican Party, calling them fascists and racists. This helped those who held the worst ideas to gain dominance in the party. It pushed the more reasonable Republicans and allies to regard the Democrats as automatic villains. The Dems haven't improved, but the current dominant faction in the Reps is even worse. We need to recognize that.

     @gmcgath The dems won't learn, they're proving it as we speak. Reagan-era conservatism is over, the younger folks on the right aren't from that generation and quite honestly, refuse to think like that generation, myself included. After all, Reagan himself introduced no-fault divorce, of course I identify with the new right over the dumbass old guard that prefers to fuck everything up and favor the rich.
