>People claiming that a chat protocol is not enough for chatting
They definitely do not love proprietary software — they are agents of the Demiurge.

There is free software available and practically any hardware can execute it. To be more precise: there are people who, for example, argue that an XMPP client compatible with the fundamental XEPs is not sufficient to chat.
On friends: it saddens me to read it because it is clearly a projection.

@freetar the protocol actually isn't enough thoughbeit. you need the software to implement the protocol, the hardware to run the software, and to make friends with which to chat in the first place (impossible for you haha owned)

That is useless — they need a GNU/Exorcism. Fortunately, most of the people close to me have learned about the GNU/Message and we strive every day to strengthen their relationship with GNU/God.

Call them faggots and point them towards Discord.

Generally, they tend to refer to XMPP and, to a lesser extent, to IRC. Even some people close to me have expressed that demiurgic opinion on reiterated occasions.
