Yes.

It probably could. It was 1 but I fixed it by making it 0.

@RedTechEngineer @mactonite Makes the place comfortable. Other instances, you wanna see what someone has written, you have to scroll past a million pinned posts. The Pleroma part of FSE's codebase predates pinned posts federating.

@p @mactonite multiple pinned posts are extremely obnoxious virtually all the time.
Anything that should be perpetually and immediately visible on your profile belongs in the bio.
I realize I am a hypocrite with my 1 pinned post. But I don't think 1 pinned post is that objectionable.

So, fedi has kind of a split between "curation" and "communication"; I'm firmly in the "communication" camp, and pinned posts are "curation"-style. I like living on a "communication" instance. I click on a dude, I don't wanna see the same shit I saw the dude already say.

Yeah, I left it on FSE when the feature got pushed out: one pinned post. But hopping domains gave me an opportunity to tweak the configuration.

You have to check out snac2 — with it you never have to see what anyone said, open the user's profile and you see their profile and… nothing else. Like nothing — you don't see anything else, not even their most recent posts. Even if you use alternative frontend — that's simply how Mastodon API works in it 😂

@p @RedTechEngineer i use a fone app so "pinned" is a separate tab on a profile apart from other stuff. even if you're on a browser then 1 pin isn't bad through.
