   regularly updates take so long, they push new packages during the upgrade process so i have to start all over again luckily it caches the packages..
   
   like this seems to happen EVERYTIME i run zypper dup

     on /etc/zypp/zypp.conf, uncomment download.max_concurrent_connections = 5, set it to whatever value you want, in my experience on arch when i used it and has a similar feature, 10 is fine.
     
     These should speed up zypper.
     
     env ZYPP_PCK_PRELOAD=1 zypper dup
     env ZYPP_CURL2=1 zypper ref

     @lucy i spent months without updating on debian unstable and it broke my system
     but i got it working again
