     @icedquinn@blob.cat before the teams thing there was also the "microsoft purposely makes skype shittier than what it used to be for no real reason so that now people don't want to use skype anymore and by doing so, giving an opportunity for competitors to thrive (like discord ended up doing, for example)"

     On top of that Skype had native software for most platforms. You could send SMS from desktop Windows if you had Windows Phone linked to the same account. But no — they had to replace all that with React Native abomination only to kill everything off years later due to it being unusable 😩
