Man, this tariff situation could be such an opportunity for the EU. I *really* like the idea of Cory Doctorow to, instead of retaliating with tariffs of our own, retaliate by no longer enforcing US IP (like pharma patents or DRM), which would harm US companies *and help* EU citizens and companies. And could be a strategic answer to the US tech monopoly.

But no one in charge seems to even think about that. They all just talk about retaliatory tariffs on fucking Whiskey…
