Painted Bunting
Finally found one ... this bird has not been easy to find or photograph! Bucket list ✓
This is the male, with the female being a pale green.
I also found a large group of migratory indigo buntings, the males being the signature vivid blue, females brown.

Happy spring/nesting season!
Always nice to appreciate and enjoy the world of (non-human) nature.
