   Does Mastodon's language filter even work? I don't know if people I follow ignores/misconfigure it or it's broken, because every once in a while I stumble upon posts in German, French etc., even though I set my timeline up to show only pt and en content

     Often people have their profiles set to one language and then occasionally write in another without adjusting the language for those posts.

     @bruvellu interesting! However, I've seen original posts (not boosts) in French and German leaking into my timeline, which is supposed to only show pt and en posts 🤔

     @manualdousuario If someone you follow boosts a post in another language you'll see it anyway, independent of your filter settings... Also happens with followed hashtags. Known issue https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/20241
