   Folks, I'm turning 40 later this year and I need some tips about what's a good midlife crisis. I'm not keen on your classics like get divorced, buy a fast car or take up golf, so I'm looking for alternatives? I'm thinking maybe start a podcast?

     Modular synths.
     Many of the requirements for a mlc:

     Money pit
     Attention pit
     Takes up space
     No actual need to do it
     Chance to be wildly over confident about your abilities
     Massively boring to anyone who doesn't share the interest
     Lots of opportunities to be an opinionated dick online
