   Has anyone figured out the logic behind auto-collapsed posts on Mastodon? How are you supposed to convince anyone to expand this when even the first line of text is half obscured and the embed is completely hidden?

     @lethalbit @lailah_s yup there’s a lot of things I want to change but again, we want to wait till we have the infra upgrade so that we can do so safely without risking breaking something badly.

     Once those are done I will start doing proper source code changes =w=

     @LunaFoxgirlVT @lethalbit @lailah_s I need to figure out how to change the app defaults to not do this by default for new users, but at least for now I added some custom CSS to make it show a lot more height when collapsed. Hopefully this makes it less painful! ^^

     @lethalbit Yeah I found that but the defaults for the entire instance completely destroy any possibility of engagement. It's not super friendly for content creators which this instance is supposed to be focused on. I know there's no controlling other Glitchsoc instances people could be browsing from but could it at least be different here?
