     Not only would it be glorious, it would be the marketplace in action.

     What corporate America and what billionaires need to learn is a good solid lesson in market economics. They’ve lost touch with it because they’ve been able to gain the system so much in their own favor.

     They need to be reminded of what a market is like.

     They also have become accustomed to the idea that supporting fascists has only upsides, never downsides. One could hope the might learn, but of course they never will...

     @JessTheUnstill They certainly should in any foreign government's bid to counter Trump's tariffs.

     A 10% tax on revenues on Google ads, Facebook ads, Amazon purchases, AWS usage fees, Netflix subscriptions, all Apple products, ChatGPT subscriptions, and all Tesla products would make Silicon Valley take notice.

     @ajsadauskas Wouldn't it be kinda wild to see the chaos if suddenly all AWS and Azure and GCP bills went up by 10-50% for all international companies and subsidiaries?

     ICYMI, I really really like Doctorow’s idea of targeting IP law: nix international support for US copyrights and patents, let international phrama make cheap clones of US drugs, etc.

     Long shot, but now is the time to push for long shots.
