   Back in 2020, finance guy Morgan Housel got asked what skiing taught him about investing. From the stage he told a story so compelling that I reread it every three months or so

   It's not just insightful, it's a masterclass in narrative structure. I reread it again this morning and it holds up, especially on a day like today

   Forgive me for spoiling the ending. I assure you it takes nothing away from the story or the message

     He was a 17-year-old kid who lost his two best friends, and he learned from that experience better than most adults I know (and certainly better than I have from my own mistakes):

     "I’ve been risk-averse in other areas of life ever since, too. I drive the speed limit. I obey the seatbelt sign on airplanes. I invest in index funds."

     His book _The Psychology of Money_ is filled with excellent advice
