   @eliseo01 @xorsch The proprietary GPLv2-infringing driver has some binary components and some source components and portage has no problem compiling/installing both in the same ebuild.

     I find it very difficult that you can compile proprietary, binary-only software and drivers required by all those GPUs to be functional.
     
     You still need to download the source code to be able to compile it as well.
