A snapshot of what tariffs will look like on the ground. It used to be easy to get UK marmalade at every large-ish Spanish supermarket. When the final Brexit hammer fell, the jars slowly disappeared and were never restocked.
It’s not that UK marmalade couldn’t be imported, but between the ridiculous paperwork and the import duties, it just wasn’t worth doing it, and the price would be double - not just because of tariffs or import taxes, but the labour of the paperwork.
