     @tofugolem A mild correction - I know a LOT of folks on the right wing that honestly believe in the Shirley Exception. "The Good Ones will get an exception to the draconian policies that I'm voting for". It doesn't absolve them of guilt, for sure - they're awful people for believing that "The Bad Ones" don't deserve human rights, even if the good and bad people WERE correctly bucketed. But then the politicians they support don't even bother to make an exception case for The Good Ones. And yet the voters keep supporting them and voting for them anyway.
