Damn I should have stuck in a big mouser order last week. That'll teach me not to pay attention to the news.

I'm in the UK so potential double whammy : Mouser must buy almost all the things I buy from them from Asia, so they'll be banging up prices; and I assume there'll be UK retaliation as well (though we're now in such a weak position due to Brexit, and we have such a weaselly govt, that we'll probably be sucking up to trump).
I don't buy much so I can switch a lot over to tayda, but for slightly more exotic ICs it's either Mouser or pay top dollar. -

@botvolution I just ordered parts a couple days ago, thankfully. But I’ve got PCBs in transit from Germany and no idea what’s going to happen there. :/

@botvolution That’s rough. I would hope they have a local subsidiary distributor that can get around any US distribution, but I don’t really know how they’re structured.
Ordering from the US, it seems to be random which items have tariffs and which don’t. Some are obviously because of the country of origin, but some stuff is clearly made in China but doesn’t. I think maybe they just have sufficient stock and don’t plan to order any more soon. ᖍ(ᐙ)ᖌ

There's a UK Mouser, but I imagine it's mostly sales and marketing into UK manufacturing (what there is of it left) as literally everything is picked, packed and shipped from Texas.
The logistics are amazing: if I order Monday it's delivered Thursday.
