    Fellow Canucks, do not go to the USA:

    "In multiple instances since mid-February, families with young children have been detained in cells at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls.

    "An Investigative Post reporter personally confirmed one of those family detentions. In that case, the family was held for two weeks."

      @Greengordon

      This practice strongly reminds me of what the former East German communist border regime did with people. Arbitrarily detaining travellers to demonstrate their power.

      And also, I haven't seen such a prison-like border crossing anywhere in Europe since the wall came down. Heavens, even barbed wire...
      And even when I was a kid, and there were armed border guards at some crossings between France and Germany due to terrorist attacks of the Red Army Fraction in the 70s, I have never seen anything like that. And that is between two nations who were friends, at least until recently?
