     @cowanon Piracy refers to utilizing a boat to assist with committing theft and/or murder, or publishing books overseas for huge profits without paying the author anything (with the book(s) sent via a boat).
     
     To make an unauthorized or prohibited copy of software doesn't require a boat, therefore it is not piracy.
     
     Don't forget than an unauthorized copy of proprietary malware is still malware.
