Two weeks ago I took off my smart watch to charge and never put it back on.
I don’t need a quantitfied life. I don’t need to always be connected.
I just don’t want any of this anymore.

@skinnylatte I feel this so hard.
I did the same for a couple months. Just the other day I wore it again because I’ve been running more. I was doing intervals and it was nice to have those reminders automated. I took it right off afterwards though.
The kind of tracking it does is feeling increasingly invasive.
@DetersHenning please let me know how it goes!
@skinnylatte good for you! I don't mean to one-up you, but I just ordered one of these: https://www.punkt.ch/en/products/mp02-4g-mobile-phone/ First as an experiment; I'll see how it goes.
@krazykitty oh yeah for health stuff definitely. Hope they make a pretty one some day
@skinnylatte I only have a smart watch because it monitors my heart rate and this is very useful in managing chronic fatigue syndrome.
I only connect it to my phone when I need to update its time (that statement in itself is bonkers, I need to connect my watch to an app to set its time, what?).
I sometimes worry that people think I enjoy having a connected watch. And I miss wearing my pretty watch that only tells the time.
