   @PurpCat @KaiserKitty @phnt @prettygood I just feel like maybe the era of open chatrooms is over again. Maybe it'll just be we go back to forums and you know not centralize to reddit again.
   Putting a minor gate like maybe someone has to make 10 posts that aren't ass on the forum before they get access to the matrix server. You'd require an actual dedicated asshole to do it over some random asshat who sees it as a cheap laugh.

     @prettygood @KaiserKitty @PurpCat @phnt I bet you could gatekeep people by just making signing up for an account requires doing it through the tor version of the website. The clear web version would have no register button. You'd probably gatekeep a huge chunk of people with such a minor wall.
