     @adnan @Linux Mastodon is starting to work on pulling replies from the remote server so this becomes less of a problem.

     I use Mastodon and pay for my single-user instance. But I would feel better using the main instance (and see all replies) and make a contribution to the project as “payment”.

     The cost is not just for the hosting but also ongoing development of the software.
