It's driving me a bit crazy that Android has this meaningless gap between the bottom edge of the screen and the keyboard. Is there any way to remove this?

@Luuni Thanks, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm referring to the black bar with two buttons that only show when using any keyboard:

@forteller Yes, if you have android 15 and the app is recently updated to support edge-to-edge mode, it will increase the usable space in the bottom. But if you also want to remove the horizontal line in the middle bottom, your OS supplier needs to add that as a customization. I know I could make that line transparent with my previous Samsung phone, but now that I use GrapheneOS, I get the default android behaviour (it is permanent). As you can see in the picture here:

Vedlagt: 1 bilde @worldwidewerner@mastodon.social @Vivaldi@vivaldi.net This is the standard Chromium behaviour. If the address field was at the top, it would not seem that dramatic. But I understand your frustration. But I would recommend that you switch from the bottom navigation (back, home, app switcher) to the more natural gesture control, then you only have a small line at the bottom (see screenshot). Espescially with android 15, if the app has enabled the edge-to-edge feature. More and more apps have this now.
