   @lnx at this point they've probably send millions of take down requests to social media and drug thousands of people into police stations for what they've said.
   
   All this seems to be doing is shutting down hamster forums.

     @em @lnx The issue is that these kind of forums in 2025 aren't anything but a minority of people, and it doesn't do anything except make onerous rules for people like the hamster forum, people that care a lot about uncommon hobbies.
     
     I don't think there was any directly nefarious with this - but it shows the same kind of thoughts that enable the directly nefarious actions in the name of "safety"
