   i think i just dont want to write activitypub software. people have already done the work for me. activitypub doesnt look fun

     @nyanide It is not. When I followed silverpill, it made me realize how incompatible every implementation is. It is not uncommon for the parent posts he replies to simply not to federate here.

     like ive been trying to reason with myself like "you should do this itll be fun to explore the technical aspects no?"
     
     but activitypub is weird and convoluted. the mastodon api even more so. i dont think i would enjoy working on an activitypub project

     i REALLY enjoy hosting other peoples implementations of activitypub. but i dont think id enjoy writing my own little implementation of it
