can any of you check for this on your computers? Doesn't have to be just laptops, can also be desktops, just monitor your computers power usage when on say any other webpage or on the new tab page, and when you're on the pleroma tab.

@mischievoustomato Max +2W idling on home TL compared to a completely fresh browser only with an empty tab. Usually sitting around +1W.
4W: empty tab
5W-5.8W: Home TL

@mischievoustomato The worst case scenario seems to be fast scrolling. That can go up to +5W (so 9W in total), but that's still almost nothing. And I didn't even try doing any power management. Running stock kernel with tlp service started and that's it.

@mischievoustomato I was on AC power and I configured TLP to set pstate and scheduler tuning knobs to their "performance" settings. This should set power management mostly to no limits.
If I was on "powersave", the difference would probably be significantly lower as everything is noticeably slower when on battery power.
