     @TheDialecticalCommunist call them whatever you want. They are puppets used by the Democratic party to attract left leaning folks into supporting the neo liberal garbage that is the Democratic party. There is nothing socialist about simping for capitalism.

     You are right. I would say thought that "Democratic Socialist" is a pleonasm since socialism is already democratic. What these people are is Social Democrats.

     The DNC is never gonna put Bernie (and probably not AOC) on their presidential ticket. They will however use him (her) to try to drive voters pissed at the status quo into their "we're an opposition party" trap. They'll parade them around to get folks on board, let them run primary campaigns that they will concede and endorse an establishment goon. The Democratic socialist of America are a facade of leftist ideals used to co-opt folks into the Democratic party.
