   @jacky I barely got 5 minutes into the first episode of momentary lily and I was like. Why the fuck would you start with this? maybe invest me in the characters before you drown me in meaningless banter that tells me nothing.

     anime season review

     only two series this season:

     • sorairo utility: pretty standard slice of life anime. not particularly outstanding and unfortunately about golf, but still enjoyable.
     • momentary lily (one episode left): cute girls fighting monsters in a post-apocalyptic world. setting sounded pretty exciting but unfortunately i was quite disappointed by the execution. enemies were boring, some creative decisions that i personally disliked. the later episodes revealed some interesting story ideas that imo could have been turned into a really cool series, but sadly they were mostly inconsequential and simply rattled down in a single exposition dialogue
