@tezoatlipoca yeah the Peninsula and South Bay is like, different varieties of car parks. Great food, but I wouldn’t survive that urban environment

@skinnylatte @tezoatlipoca Surprising amount of bad food considering the wealth and diversity here. Sure there are some good ones here and there, but not as many as there use to be (a long time ago) or as many as you would expect from the level of wealth.
I never had bad Thai Food until I moved here. And its surprising how much mediocre Chinese and Indian food is around.
I presume its because the "rent is too damn high" here for anyone creative and not in tech to survive and have a good food ecosystem...
Also Palo Alto was really nice in the 1970's and early 80's... More hippy tech than tech bros back then.

@rberger @tezoatlipoca San Jose strip malls have good immigrant food, but yes the ‘ethnic restaurants’ are mostly bad except in enclaves with food from specific communities
