   I’m halfway to agreeing with this piece by @rbreich. Reich’s argument in short:

   - Federal courts are pretty consistently smacking down the Trump admin.

   - For all the bluster about ignoring the courts, for all the delays, the Trump admin •is• still ultimately complying with them.

   - There are clear signal from the Murdoch-y oligarch world that Trump will lose them if he starts defying the courts.

   (It’s worth reading the whole thing.)

     Here’s why I’m only •halfway• to agreeing with @rbreich:

     If you squint at what Justice Roberts said, if you squint at those WSJ editorials Reich linked to, one way of reading them is: “Hey, Trump, don’t defy the federal courts, because ••the SCOTUS will take care of it for you••.”

     I think the Roberts court is ready to declare Trump a dictator with only the slimmest fig leaf of legal restraint. And you don’t have to defy the courts if the SCOTUS is going to let you do anything.
