     @Lana I am a "boomer," which means I know a lot of people of the same generation. While I've heard all the stereotypes in your post, I have never met a single boomer who ever felt the way you describe - not in 1995, not in 2025.

     Generational warfare based on inaccurate stereotypes does nothing but drive people apart and honestly, Trumpers do enough of that for all of us.

     Based on how easily and quickly those words sprung onto the page, I suspect that sort of thought-ending cliche often works for you. It won't here.

     @Lana Yes, we got a lot of gifts and benefits back then (and since).

     But please don't forget that when we were buying homes the interest rates often ranged into the 15%/year (and above) range plus "points" and with a rather large down payment. As a consequence, for many of us housing was unaffordable.
