   why do even modern sequels to classic arcade series not feel nearly as fun as the originals.
   
   i guess it's because these were headlining AAA products in their days, so all the most talented people were working on them, and how much thought was put into this era of arcade games still shows. nowadays retro styled games are indieslop, mobile trash or C-tier releases.
