If Trump forces Ukraine to make concessions to satisfy Russia, it will look like a reward for the aggressor after 11 years of war, crimes, and destruction. Such a move will not only legitimize Russia’s war policy of force but also create a dangerous precedent: dictatorships around the world will see that international law no longer applies—only power rules now. This will pave the way for new wars and even greater instability.
