    Installing a new OS on a phone has always been a daunting task! I've done it a few times, but always dreaded it.

    So I'm really happy that @e_mydata has created an installer that seems like it could actually be used by most people!

    It looks like a simple step-by-step GUI process. Except there's a warning at the start stating "Before proceeding with the installation, verify if the latest Android firmware is available for your device." and I don't know what that means or how to check

      Like, is that some firmware for my phone from Google? Where do I check if the latest version is available for my phone? How do I know what is the latest version? A link would be highly appreciated. A warning like that looks like I might brick my phone, and when there's no more info, who will dare use this tool to install the OS if they don't understand what this warning is about? @e_mydata

      @older Ok, so what you're saying is that I have to boot my phone and check for updates in the settings before I try to install e? Thanks! Just wish @e_mydata themselves would answer.

      @forteller
      Android firmware is coming from the manufacturer of your device, not from Google. You can check for updates in your device's settings. Scroll to the bottom and there will be an item to check for firmware updates.
