   As someone raised Catholic, I constantly feel guilt, even when I do ok stuff (volunteer work, etc.)

   Catholic converts, in my experience, go out of their way to be shitty? And then they cite some obscure thing like "Saint Petritus at the Stone of Wealth" to override stuff that Jesus literally said
