i think people often forget i'm american and don't have the luxury to just casually tumble 300 therapists hoping for the one goddamn idiot in the country who's actually good at their job

@s8n i am probably more qualified than most of them and my case is exceptionally difficult

@icedquinn the only reason you'd do that is to get drugs to abuse

@icedquinn unless you have a physical injury I doubt it. I don't think you or anyone else can diagnose a mental illness if your daily life is so miserable that your body is supposed to be flipping out and doing everything in its power to get you to change the situation

@s8n i was bullshitted about being flat footed but the last time it was looked at by doctors they said no, the arch is fine, the veins in my legs are severely defective.
the only solutions they offered was a surgery to probably damage it further or try to bodge it with basically permanently wearing compression socks
this has been a limiting factor in "just get a job in the salt mines quinn" seeing as i haven't actually been able to stand for consecutive hours in my entire life :cat_sad:

remarkable progress but you don't get any credit at all for weight loss until the last ten pounds :/

@s8n people do give you credit for it but only once you're deemed attractive again.
it is actually exceptionally hard to exit morbid / childhood obesity.
there was a challenge where they made personal trainers gain all the weight of the people they were going to train and they were bitching the whole time about how hard it was to do anything.

@icedquinn I don't think you ever get any credit for weight loss, you're just returning to baseline normal it's not some achievement. It's like quitting heroin, it might be hard but nigga why are you addicted to heroin

@s8n breaking a sugar addiction is actually noted as like the single hardest addiction to break in scientific papers. its one of the exceptions to the 30-60 day rules. it takes more like, the full 365 days to pull it off. most diabetics never even try and just mainline insulin instead.
it is actually quite astounding to pull it off.
