   So Bluesky is going to line their billionaire investor's pockets with money they will make allowing third party AI training companies, all funded by venture capitalists, to scrape your accounts and posts.

   Before you come at me and tell me my stuff is being scraped too, just know that I am not putting any money directly into a billionaire's hands on this platform, nor is anyone on the Fediverse out to monetize my content for their own personal gain. Bluesky is an aggregator / middleman for packaging AI training.

     This discussion is ongoing but they are talking about this as opt out not opt in because who would ever fucking opt in. 32 million users paying enough attention to opt out is highly unlikely. BS is selling a numbers game to potential purchasers and offering the illusion of control to their users.

     This also opens the door to the possibility of anybody being able to purchase this information under the guise of AI training. ANYBODY.
