@PhilGastwirth @SecurityWriter The USA, which insists that everyone else respects its IP protections, has never signed any of the treaties that protect product origins (AOC and so on). As a result, you can call anything champagne in the US. I've even seen a fizzy soft drink sold as 'champagne' there.
