>you have to learn to use a computer
>i only want a box that turns on
Asking for a tool (computers are not really tool's per say but who cares) to be usable from the first strike is retarded and you should be shamed.

@dcc you know when you learn to use a computer it influences other parts of your personality. Like knowing how to find information, how to discern sources and even how your own brain functions. I see people who never learned to use computers versus people who knows how to use them and it's really a big difference

Can confirm. And learning a programming language or two also changes a lot. Especially logical thinking and breaking down bigger "problems" into smaller chunks. One of my weirdest "computer" representations I've made over the years is the flow my brain has to go through when transcribing something and how the grammar involved influences things.

@phnt @dcc I notice people who goes to university but didn't learn how a computer functions and everything about them is different. They often have poor music taste ( can't distinguish what is a advanced form of a musical piece from what is a very simple piece ) They don't know much about movies either since they never learnt how to find information and implement it, they never learnt how to find about movies that are more difficult to find. Same reason they have superficial understanding of how world functions or politics, because they aren't wired to put a system into function
