Mastodon profiles have that kinda "real me" verification process.
what's the easiest way to relate a friendica node or any of it's profiles (I guess that's not possible) to that reference system?

To verify your homepage, add a rel="me" link to it, pointing to your profile URL (https://example.com/profile/nickname).
Please note that this functionality was added to Friendica very recently. It is only available in current development code. -

But when you have another website like a blog you need to put that rel-me link into the code of the main page of that website, I guess.

My homepage is an entire friendica node, how or where do I publish the reference to the social web profile?
Looks to me that admin front end doesn't do the trick.
